Nine6Nine Motorsports' Logan Stanfield and Cole Wuellenweber Win & Clinch Championships
Nine6Nine Unadilla MX ATV Motocross Race Report

McKenzie, TN (7/10/2018) – Nine6Nine Motorsports’ Logan Stanfield and Cole Wuellenweber clinched the championship in their respective classes with overall victories at the AMA ATV Motocross National Championship events at Unadilla MX in New Berlin, NY. Zack Decker continued his rehabilitation from an injury sustained early this season and practiced for the first time at a national track. Unfortunately, Alan Myers was injured in the first moto of the Pro Sport class.

Though he has fielded one of the top ATV Motocross teams over the years, team owner Travis Moore was blown away by Stanfield and Wuellenweber’s results this season. He believes in hard work and that dedication has paid great dividends this year.

“I’ve never locked up two championships with two races left,” said Moore. “It doesn’t happen much so we’re humbled by it. Cole and Logan killed it. They won six races and their championships are undeniable. When you put in hard work and determination, this is what you come up with. Zack is showing a lot of potential to run at Red Bud.”

Stanfield swept the 450A class, winning both motos to clinch the title. In the Open Pro Sport class, he went 1-3 for a runner-up finish and he is now eying that championship, as well.

“It’s a big relief to wrap up the championship because I can step up to Pro Am at RedBud and get a jump on next season,” said Stanfield. “We’re still in it in the Pro Sport championship.”

Wuellenweber won both motos in the Open C class and clinched the championship. He also finished second in the 450C and is currently in position to possibly grab that title, despite missing the first three races of the season.

“This is like my home track and it was awesome to run in front of my friends and family,” said Wuellenweber. “It’s nice to see all of the hard work pay off. Maxxis Tires, Walsh Racecraft and Elka all worked together perfectly this weekend. There has been so much work that has gone into this championship. Now I need to look at the 450C championship. I could never have done this without Travis and the whole team.”

Decker made further steps in his recovery from an injury in a crash in round two in South Carolina. He practiced in Youth All Star and Schoolboy Sr.

“I rode Friday practice and nothing hurt, so that’s a good thing,” said Decker. “It felt great to be back on the machine. It was definitely fun to be at a national track and running with other riders. I plan on racing both of my classes at RedBud and I’m hopeful for good results.”

Alan Myers had a bad get off in the first Pro Sport moto on Saturday, but he was released from the hospital to ride around the track on Sunday in Pro-Am to earn 15 points, which now has him fourth in the Pro-Am points championship heading into the final two rounds.

Nine6Nine Motorsports will be back in action when the AMA ATV Motocross National Championship heads to RedBud MX in Buchanan, MI July 21-22.
