Moser clinches 25+ Championship in honor
of Kyler Lenz |
The weekend started out somber and finished with
exhilaration as Moser dominated his class and
Richmond further added points to his quest for
the Open B title. Rowe put in his usual hard work
and added his second top 10 in a row after mechanical
issues slowed him early in the season. Team owner
Kevin Lenz is proud of his team’s efforts as the
team remembered Kyler Lenz, who passed away one
year ago.
“It’s been a rough weekend, but we made it one
full year, Nick got it done in honor of Kyler,
and it turned an amazing experience,” said Lenz.
“Sam is one of the up-and-coming Pros and he is
one of the most talented and hard working guys
in the Pro class. He had a rough time early in
the year, but he has come around and is finishing
in the top six and seven. Korie is still in the
running for the championship and he’s been amazing.
What makes this team is all of us working together.”

Nick Moser grabbed both holeshots |
Moser put together yet another dominant run in
25+, snagging both holeshots and dominating both
motos. So successful were his results this season—six
victories and a third-place finish—that he clinched
the title with two races left.
“The whole season is dedicated to Kyler,” said
Moser. “It’s been an emotional season, but I’m
proud to have been a part of this team. We’ll
keep racing and we’ll keep growing this thing
so Kyler’s name will definitely be known. We went
out on top. The Maxxis Tires have hooked up great
at every race this season. Baldwin Motorsports
build was amazing and the power was unbelievable.”
Richmond finished 1-2 in the motos for his third
overall victory in Open B. Though he missed the
first two races of the season, wins in the next
two races may just hand him the overall title.

Korie
Richmond took the Open B Overall Win |
“It was a great weekend and it will give us a
lot of motivation for the rest of the season,”
said Richmond. “I’m looking to get two more wins
and finish out with the championship. The wins
will help a lot. The Maxxis Tires worked out great
for us and the PEP suspension was perfect for
the dry and slick conditions.”
After mechanical gremlins took him out of contention
in the first half of the season, Rowe has set
his sights on finishing in the top 10 in points.
With his second consecutive top-10 finish in the
Pro class, he is well on his way.
“I had so much bad luck with all of the DNFs,
that I’m trying to rebound into the top 10 in
points,” said Rowe. “I have a really good chance
and that is my focus right now. I want to finish
better than I have in previous years and that
would be like a win for us. I’m working hard and
I want to get better.”
Kyler Lenz Motorsports heads next to RedBud MX
in Buchanan, MI for the next round, scheduled
for July 21-22.
