Hunter Miller Extends GNCC
Pro Turbo UTV Points Lead

Coker GNCC Pro UTV Race Report
Greenville, TX (4/27/2018) –
Can Am/Maxxis/Elka’s Hunter Miller drove his Can-Am
Maverick to a second-place finish in the UXC1
Turbo class at the Camp Coker Bullet GNCC. His
third podium in as many races allows him to pad
his points lead at the midpoint of the season.
Miller had to negotiate one of the roughest courses
yet this season. He put in another hard charge
and his Can-Am took everything thrown at it in
style.
“That was the roughest UTV race I’ve ever done;
I can’t even begin to describe it,” said Miller.
“The Can-Am was awesome today. I drove the wheels
off it and it held together. I was trying to be
smart and just get the car to the finish line.”
During the track walk, Miller discussed making
changes to the shock settings with Double E’s
George White. White recommended staying with the
more aggressive settings. That move, along with
running Maxxis Big Horn 2.0 tires, allowed him
to have the perfect suspension setup for the conditions
with plenty of traction.
“The whole track gave the Elka suspension quite
a work out,” said Miller. “The Elka shocks combined
with the Double E tuning are unstoppable. George
White and I thought about making some changes.
He said to leave it alone and I’m glad we did.
The Maxxis tires were amazing and we were running
the best tire for the sand. We never got hung
up or stuck.”
Miller also had to fight through a hard hit to
the face during the race. On the second lap, a
rock flew up and hit him in the eye, causing him
to finish the race with quite a shiner.
“That almost made me pull over,” said Miller.
“I felt like I got punched in the face. My eye
is swollen and turning black, but Adam talked
me through it and I forgot about it on the next
lap.”
Miller now has a 13-point lead in the championship.
With just three races left, he plans to continue
to implement his consistent strategy.
“I’m just trying to be smart and be on the podium
in every race,” said Miller. “I’ve got two thirds
and a second and that gives me the points lead.
We’re halfway through and we’ll try to take it
home.”
Miller will return to the GNCC Series when it
runs its next UTV race at the John Penton. That
race, held at Sunday Creek Raceway in Millfield,
OH, is scheduled for May 26-27.
