behind teammate Mickey Thomas, who finished second.
They were competing in the Pro Stock class in

The event featured a combination of LOORRS West
Coast and East Coast competitors and had the highest
car count yet this season. The technical and tight
track rewarded consistency, as well as bravery
as it featured a long and high tabletop jump on
the back straight.
Additional seat time at regional races in Georgia
allowed Rosales to shine, despite being the youngest
competitor in the class. After running with the
top pack for most of the event he finished a career-best
fourth.

best 4th on Saturday |
“We did some local races down in Georgia and
that helped a lot,” said Rosales. “Getting more
seat time definitely paid off. A fourth lets everyone
know we’re coming. I know I’m young and I still
have a lot to learn, but at the same time it feels
good to be up here with all of those older drivers.
It’s a competitive field, but we’re getting used
to the competition.”
Hans Ada had Rosales’ and Thomas’ cars set up
perfectly for the Saturday races. With dry and
tacky conditions, Rosales’ Maxxis tires hooked
up perfectly.
“The Maxxis Ceros really hooked up for me,” said
Rosales. “Combined with the Walker Evans suspension,
it made it much easier for me to focus on driving,
rather than the car. Hans does a great job. He’s
always prepared and always knows what’s going
on. The car we setup perfectly. It’s truly amazing
what he does.”
Thomas’ car really came into its own during the
second half of the race and he made the pass for
second on the final lap. He was pleased to earn
another podium, which puts him in prime position
in points.
“It was tough for the first half of the race,
but in the second half, the track came to us,”
said Thomas. “This is my second podium this year
for Hans Ada Racing. Hans takes care of whole
deal. The car is always perfectly prepped and
ready. He builds a great car and I can’t thank
him enough for all he does for us.”

Ada is likely one of the hardest working team
owners in the pits and his tenacity paid off here.
With some of the highest car counts this season,
the podium and fourth-place finish were definitely
more meaningful.
“To put it into perspective, the Wheatland race
had a much higher car count and a much deeper
pool of talent,” said Ada. “So a fourth place
and a podium during the weekend mean a lot more
than at any other event because we were competing
against both the West Coast and East Coast drivers.”
Thomas and Rosales are already preparing for
the next race, being held July 21 at Wild West
Motorsports Park in Sparks, NV.
