Pro ATV MX Race Report
La Crosse, WI (5/19/2017) - Root
River Racing’s professional racers took to the
track once again at the fourth round of the 2017
AMA ATV Motocross National Championship. Racing
was held in Crawfordsville, IN at Ironman Raceway.
Josh Upperman snagged a sixth place finish and
Dylan Tremellen finished tenth.
Racing's Josh Upperman
Upperman’s Root River Racing bike shot out of
the gate like a rocket both motos, allowing him
to take great starts and 6-7 moto finishes. “The
starts were really good. We were there both times
in the top three to five. The Baldwin motor definitely
got me up front and that’s what we were looking
for,” stated Upperman.
The Hoosier tires under the Root River Racing
machine were also a huge help in Upperman’s impressive
performance. “The Hoosier tires worked awesome
this weekend. With the little bit of mud and the
track being dry slick in spots I had tons of traction
to keep me up front,” explained Upperman.
Dylan Tremellen also put in a tremendous ride
to keep himself inside the top ten. Tremellen
went 12-12 for tenth overall and will continue
to build throughout his rookie season. “I am very
happy with it. We will get there, this is a learning
year for me,” said Tremellen.
Racing's Dylan Tremellen
The Root River Racing team had Tremellen’s bike
in top shape to handle the challenging track conditions.
“The bike worked great. We started making some
shock adjustments here and there and it was working
really well,” stated Tremellen.
The Root River Racing Pro riders will continue
to train and come back swinging at the fifth round
of the 2017 AMA ATV Motocross National Championship.
Racing will be held at Muddy Creek Raceway in
Blountville, TN on June 3-4.
