Team UXC Racing Goes 1-2 at the Wild Boar GNCC
Michael Swift Wins Pro 4x4 Class at GNCC Season Opener

Shelbyville, TN (3/10/2016) - The Polaris Scrambler 1000 XP’s did not disappoint in their flawless display of power and handling at the Grand National Cross Country’s opening round this weekend in Palatka, Florida. Team UXC’s 4x4 Pro riders Michael Swift #202 and Kevin Trantham #209 put their Polaris Factory Racing Scramblers on the centre of the box in a heavily contested 4x4 Pro class.

Teammates Swift and Trantham started mid pack off the line and quickly worked their way to the front. The sandy course laced with tight pine sections led to a technical track with many obstacles like palmetto roots that could quickly cause racers to loose control.

The Polaris backed duo swapped positions out front but when the checker flag was waved, it was Swift who claimed the victory with Trantham close behind.

Swift and Trantham also made their debut in the XC1 Pro UTV class. Trantham piloted his #20 Polaris Engineered Lubricants RZR 1000S while Swift showcased his #21 Custom Axis RZR 1000S. Both UXC UTV’s started on row three battling for a spot among the thirty-three XC1 Pros on the short five mile course. Swift claimed a solid 4th place finish. Trantham encountered a mud trap causing him to slip from 4th back to 12th.

Torey Rush and Becky Widdicombe delivered great performances for Team UXC in the single seat ACE. Rush took home the silver for his impressive driving skills. Widdicombe had a set back causing her to drop from 4th to 7th.

Graham Widdicombe claimed a podium finish in the 4x4 40+ class while Nic Snyckers rounded out the top five in the 4x4 C class. Jeff Wright took home an 8th place finish in the 4x4 A/B class and Tayton Swift completed the top five in the Youth 90 (8-12) class.

“It was a great day for all our racers. I am very proud of how every one finished and the hard work we have all put in during the off season. None of this would be possible without our great sponsors who love this sport as much as we do,” stated Swift.

Team UXC’s ATVs will be back in action next weekend at Round 2 in Georgia. Single seat ACE and RZR UTV’s will return at Round 4 in South Carolina.
