El Cajon, CA (1/14/2016) - Duncan Racing’s Garrin Fuller recovered from some bad luck to finish fifth at the WORCS Pro ATV season opener at Honolulu Hills Raceway. Kyle Fuller recorded a sixth-place finish in Pro-Am and seventh in Production A in his rookie debut in both classes.

In the Pro ATV race, Garrin Fuller was in a full on charge for the lead when an unusual sidewall puncture sent him to the pits for a tire change. He recovered to record the top five.

“I was really keeping pace and was challenging for the lead, but on the fourth lap I started getting a flat; it was a sidewall gash,” said Garrin. “It was a freak thing and we really lost time changing the tire. It was the last lap and I tried to catch up, but I settled for fifth. The Elka Suspension worked flawlessly. The Duncan Motor was fast. We just had some bad luck today.

“I’ve had a lot of seat time going into the season, and I feel great,” added Garrin. “My conditioning is great. There is no reason I shouldn’t be on the podium at every race.”

Kyle Fuller stepped up to Pro Am this year. He fought off equipment problems to snag the sixth-place finish.

“That was great experience,” said Kyle. “I had some problems with my gloves, and I had a heel guard break off, so those are things we need to work on. I was clicking off laps, and I never got tired, so I’m happy the way I rode this weekend.

“The STI Tires worked great,” added Kyle. “I would have pulled a holeshot, by I had a little ‘rider malfunction’ at the start; I pulled it in neutral. The Duncan Motor was strong and the Elka Suspension was great as always.”

Garrin and Kyle Fuller will be back in action when the WORCS Championship heads to Primm, NV January 29-31 for round two of the series.
