Tempe, AZ (3/4/2015) - Pro Motorsports’ Matt Hancock claimed a second place finish in the SxS Unlimited class along with a career best fourth place in the SxS Pro class at  round three of the 2015 WORCS series while Jeff Hancock made his return to WORCS racing and claimed a top five finish in the Pro ATV class.

Canyon MX in Peoria, AZ was the hosting facility for round three where the Hancock brothers were introduced to technical and rough conditions but they overcame the odds with good finishes in the SxS and ATV classes.

In the Pro SxS class, Matt Hancock was in the number five spot in the first lap and made his way up to a fourth place finish in his Can-Am Maverick. “My Maxxis tires hooked up and I got a good start, and my Tire Blocks really saved me out there because of all the rocks. We have been improving our finishes every round and I want to keep that momentum going and hopefully get on the podium and get a win,” said Hancock.

In the SxS Unlimited class, Matt Hancock was in his new Can-Am Maverick Turbo and was looking good. Hancock was in second off the start and challenged for the lead, but the rough conditions hampered his efforts and he finished with a respectable second place finish in the class.

“My Maxxis tires hooked up great. It was brutal out there and I am happy with taking second. I pushed hard but the course was really rough and I just couldn’t get close enough to make a move for the lead but overall I am happy with second. We didn’t get a lot of time to test with the Maverick Turbo and it was basically stock but it held up great and we had a good race. We took second with it so I think that proves how good they are right out of the box,” said Hancock.

In the Pro-am ATV class, Matt Hancock grabbed the holeshot and led for the first lap, but Hancock, who was not feeling well, fell back a settled in for a fourth place finish. “My quad was running awesome out there but I haven’t been feeling well for the past few days and that combined with the rough course; it caught up to me,” said Hancock, who fared much better in the Open A class where he claimed a second place finish.

“I’m looking forward to Lake Havasu. I should feel better by then and I really like that track so it should be a good race for me,” Matt Hancock added.

Jeff Hancock decided to give the Pro ATV class a try for this round of the WORCS series and did well for not racing much in the past six years with a fifth place finish. “It’s been about six years since I’ve raced the pro class but it was a lot of fun. It’s getting me back in shape for the Best in the Desert series. My Pro Motorsports quad ran great out there and I just had a really good time,” said Hancock.
