John Natalie Wins First Ever Daytona ATV Supercross

It was an incredible start to the 2015 ATV motocross season for Motorsport / Baldwin's John Natalie Jr taking his heat race win and the Pro main event win in Daytona this week. Natalie’s strong debut only confirmed that he was the right man for the job for the 2015 racing season.

John Natalie Jr claimed the first win of the season & a historic first ever win at the Daytona ATV Supercross

Natalie showed he had what it takes during the morning’s qualifying heats after he recorded fast and consistent lap times that gave him the heat win and first gate pick for the main event, which he credits to his new 2015 program. “My new program is incredibly important to me this year. When you are working with someone like Mark Baldwin, things just don’t break. He is amazing. All I have to do is stay focused on training and he makes sure the quad is going to finish races. It makes my job a lot easier,” said Natalie.

When the gate dropped for the first-ever Daytona ATV SX Pro Main event, John Natalie was ready for action. “I knew that getting a holeshot was key and I knew Mark Baldwin had everything set up so I could do just that,” said the Ironman.
Despite being pressured early in the race, Natalie stayed focused and held off the competition all the way to the checkered flag, winning the first-ever Fly Racing Daytona ATV Supercross Championship.

“I am extremely pumped. It’s Daytona, the land of speed. Everything went great for me out there. I did have to slow down a bit when we got into lap traffic, but it worked out great today. Mark Baldwin and Maxxis had me hooked up so I didn’t have to work too hard to get that holeshot. I am first ever to win at Daytona and that’s one record that can’t be broken,” said Natalie from the podium.

Getting the first win of the season is a huge deal for both Natalie and Baldwin Motorsports and sets the pace for the rest of the upcoming season. “This was a huge confidence boost for me. To come in with a completely new program and win my heat race and the main event is awesome. I get to run a red background now in Georgia and I am going to do my best to keep it there all season long and bring home a championship for Baldwin Motorsports,” said Natalie.

Round one of the 2015 Mt. Dew AMA ATV Motocross Championships will head to Echeconnee in Lizella, GA on March 21-22 where John Natalie plans to put his Motosport / Baldwin Motorsports Honda TRX 450R on top of the podium.
