East Springfield, PA (4/15/2015)
- JB Racing/Can-Am/Liquid Wrench/Houser’s Larry
Hendershot, Jr. charged his way to the podium at
Big Buck GNCC in Union, South Carolina where he
earned a third place finish in the GNCC XC1 Pro
SXS class.
The Big Buck GNCC was rough and dusty with plenty
of tree roots on the tight and technical track,
and the JB Racing team was up to the challenge
with their Can-Am maverick machines.
In the XC1 Pro SxS class, Larry Hendershot, Jr.
jumped out into the early lead by grabbing the
holeshot on the second row. “We got a great start
off the line with our ITP tires grabbing the holeshot
and had a significant lead going into the woods,”
said Hendershot, Jr.

Hendershot, Jr. kept a fast pace and was looking
strong out on the course. Hendershot, Jr.’s efforts
paid off as he ran consistent lap times for the
entire race. “We had a lot of fun out there. We
were going really fast, but I clipped a tree late
in the race and that slowed me down a bit, but
overall I am really happy with how everything
went. At the last round we had a bit of a belt
issue, but Jody fixed that and we didn’t have
any problems this round what-so-ever. JB Racing
has done a great job, and I really can’t thank
them enough,” said Hendershot, Jr. who finished
third in his class and third overall.

Hendershot, Jr. is currently ranked fourth in
GNCC XC1 Pro SxS series points, and he is determined
to keep moving forward. “I think we have all the
bugs worked out. We had a great race this weekend,
and I think we are going to do even better for
the next one. I just want to keep the forward
momentum going and hopefully get a win next time,”
he stated.
Tim Farr ran into a bit of bad luck for this
round. Farr started on the fourth row and was
looking fast and smooth. Farr was gaining time
and moving toward the front of the pack, but while
avoiding a bottleneck, he hit a tree root and
broke off a wheel, ending his race. “I really
felt like we could have won out there today. My
JB Racing Can-Am was running great and felt good.
We were doing well but we came to a bottleneck,
and I tried to go around and hit a big root, and
it ripped the wheel off. It’s unfortunate because
I was really looking forward to winning,” said
Farr.
