East Springfield, PA (3/16/2015)
- The JB Racing/Liquid Wrench amateur team made
their debut at the first-ever Fly Racing Daytona
ATV Supercross with Maddie Guyer finishing third
in the Women’s class and Peyton Zimmerman claiming
second in Super Mini (12-15) and third in the Youth
All Star class.
It has been a lot of work, but it paid off for
the JB/Liquid Wrench team. Every team member finished
inside the top ten.
Peyton Zimmerman claimed a second place finish
in his heat race for the Super Mini class and
went on to finish 2nd in the main of the Super
Mini class. Zimmerman also raced in the Youth
All Star class where he took second in his heat
race once again and battled his way up from a
mid-pack start in the main to finish in third
place.
Maddie Guyer took on some of the fastest female
racers in the country in the Women’s class and
showed that she is ready for the challenges of
the 2015 season. Guyer claimed a third place finish
in her heat race and went on to finish third in
the Women’s main event as well.
Grayson Eller was looking strong in the Schoolboy
Sr. class, rounding out the top five in his heat
race and finishing fourth in the main. Eller also
competed in the Youth All Star class and took
a top five finish in his heat race and came from
outside the top ten on the start to finish sixth
in the Youth All Star main. “My new JB Racing
250 was handling great. The PR2 motor was pulling
strong. The track was the roughest and most technical
that I have been on yet. I was hoping for top
five finishes and got fourth and sixth, so I am
happy with that. I am looking forward to Georgia
and I am hoping to do even better there,” said
Eller.
Brogan Guyer took on the challenge of the Super
Mini class with a sixth place finish in his heat
race and gave it everything he had for a fourth
place finish in the main. In the Youth All Star
Class, Guyer took fourth place in his heat race
and made a hard charge up from eleventh to a seventh
place finish in the main event. “The atmosphere
at Daytona was awesome! I had a good day and finished
all of my motos in both the Youth All-Stars and
the Super Mini classes, so I can’t thank the JB
Racing/Liquid Wrench team enough. I didn’t quite
have the finishes I was looking for, but I will
definitely be ready for Georgia,” said Guyer.
Overall it was a very successful event for the
JB Racing/Liquid Wrench Amateur Team which has
given them a boost in confidence as they head
into the 2015 racing season.
Round one of the 2015 Mt. Dew AMA ATV Motocross
Championships will head to Echeconnee in Lizella,
GA on March 21-22nd where the team will be going
for wins all around in their quest for championships.
