Kaska, PA (9/22/2015) - The JMR
/ Atvriders.com backed team of Jarrod McClure and
Randy Hamilton returned strong to round ten of the
Grand National Cross Country Series this past weekend
at Unadilla, where both riders found themselves
on the podium once again this season marking five
podiums each for the pair of Honda riders. Coming
straight off his first overall win at the Snowshoe
GNCC back in June, McClure showed no signs of slacking
over the summer and landed his DWT Honda on the
podium for third overall in the XC1 Pro Class. Teammate
Randy Hamilton also finished third in the XC2 Pro
Am class and an impressive tenth overall for the
day.

Jarrod McClure secured his the
GNCC Racing Pro Podium finish of the year
at the Unadilla GNCC |
The series returns to New Berlin once again for
the eleventh running of the Unadilla GNCC this
year. Racers have an opportunity to ride parts
of the national level MX track here, which makes
it one of the most popular event of the year.
Due to a lack of property at the facility the
course is typically shorter than most tracks and
is known as one of the roughest races of the year.
After a two-month break, racers were excited to
get back at it and see where everyone stacked
up at the finish.

Moto Pro Training's Jarrod McClure
battled with Chris Borich in the final laps
of the Unadilla GNCC & finished in 3rd
Overall |
McClure had a great start rounding the first
corner in fifth and after battling through the
next few corners went into the woods sixth behind
Brycen Neal and Walker Fowler. Sections of the
track were dusty due to lack of rain, but the
wooded sections of the track were near perfect
as riders diced through the trees in the first
lap.
“I had a decent start out there today, it was
looking like I had a top five spot and then Fowler
stalled it in the third turn letting a few guys
get around me. My goal was to try and not let
him and Adam get away from me, but it took me
just a little to long to get around Neal” said
McClure.
McClure was up into third by the fourth lap,
but the leaders had already checked out, McClure
was running very consistent laps until the lapped
riders came into play allowing Chris Borich to
challenge him for position. The pair battled the
remainder of the day and at the checkers, McClure
would find himself in third overall behind Borich.
“I felt great out there today, my fitness is
spot on thanks to Motoprotraining, and I really
have the Elka/Teixeira Suspension dialed in. Tracks
don’t get much rougher then this place, so its
nice to now I really got a solid program here.
Chris and I had a great clean battle out there,
but the lappers were so sketchy. I clipped one
and went spinning in a circle, then it seemed
like on the last lap we got held up three or four
times, but everyone had to deal with them, so
it was a matter of luck I guess ” said McClure.

Randy Hamilton scored a 3rd place
finish in the XC2 Pro-Am Class |
JMR’s XC2 Pro Am racer Randy Hamilton began his
day toward the back of the 19-rider XC2 class
but by the end lap one moved up into fourth. Randy
continued moving forward and by lap two was up
into third where he remained until the finish.
Randy also finished tenth overall for the day
his best so far this season.

DWT's Randy Hamilton |
After ten rounds of racing the JMR team is looking
as consistent as ever with back to back podium
finishes. McClure is holding down third overall
in the XC1 Class, while Hamilton is sitting fourth
in the XC2 class. We will see if these guys can
get back on the box again in two weeks at the
Mountain Ridge GNCC in Somerset PA.
