Bakersfield, CA (2/12/2015) - It was another winning weekend for the Maxxis/H&M Motorsports team at round two of the 2015 WORCS series in Primm, NV with the team taking wins in both the Pro ATV and Pro SxS classes.

Buffalo Bill’s was the hosting facility for this round of competition where defending Pro ATV champion, Beau Baron made it two wins in a row despite a brutal track and intense competition. “I was in third off the start and my teammate, David, had a great lead, and once I got around second place, David and I were riding about the same pace, and then I was able to close in on the final lap and take the lead. We were going really fast out there, so thanks to Sparks for keeping my machine running so well and to Tire Blocks and Roll Design and Elka for handling all the rough conditions. I can’t wait for Peoria. It is a little more of a technical track and that’s what I really like so I am looking for another win there,” said Baron.

David Haagsma was on fire off the start in the Pro ATV class and grabbed the holeshot as proof of his amazing speed. Haagsma had a good lead on the competition, but in the final laps, his intense pace took a toll. “I had the holeshot and a great lead thanks to my Curtis Sparks engine. I was out front for most of the race and I don’t know what happened, but my hands got so blistered and torn up, I could hardly hold on anymore and I ended up slowing a bit. I still finished in second so I am pretty happy with that,” said Haagsma.

The team did equally well in Saturday’s SxS races where David Haagsma took his first Pro SxS win of the season and took over the points lead. Haagsma grabbed the holeshot and held that lead all the way to the checkered flag despite intense pressure from his teammate, Beau Baron.

“My Sparks engine gave me a great jump off the line and I was able to edge out Ryan Piplic and Beau Baron. Beau was close for a while but he flipped and I was able to pull away. This is my second podium, and first win, of the season so I am pretty happy with that. I want to keep that momentum going and get another win at round three,” said Haagsma.

Beau Baron had a good start in third place and made the pass for second quickly. Baron ran down his teammate, David Haagsma, who was in the lead, and immediately began to apply the pressure. “We got into some deep sand berms and I went high to cut across and had to hit my brakes so I wouldn’t hit him and I caught a rut and tipped it over,” said Baron.

Baron was able to flip his RZR back over and keep going. Baron was able to work back up to third for a podium finish. “My RZR was working good and the Sparks motor was awesome out there. I am pretty happy to be on the podium after flipping over, so I will take it for now,” said Baron.

Round three of the 2015 WORCS series will head to Canyon MX in Peoria, AZ on February 27-March 1, where the Maxxis/H&M Motorsports team will be going for the top of the podium.
