Galena, IL (6/16/2015) - The
Mtn. Dew AMA ATV Pro National Circuit took to
Wienen Motorsports' Chad Wienen's homestate
of Illinois this past weekend where the circuit
held it's seventh round of racing at Sunset
Ridge MX. Wienen claimed the overall win of
the weekend after a 1-2 finish and Brett Musick
matched his career best finish two events in
a row claiming sixth overall by finishing 9-6.

Wienen shot out of the holeshot in moto one
in second and was able to make a pass for the
lead in lap one. Riding a smooth and smart moto,
Wienen rode his own race despite getting pressure
from behind. Musick was just outside the top
five on the end of the first lap in moto 1and
after a few intense battles fell back to ninth
by halfway through the moto and from there on
was able to claim the ninth place position to
end moto 1.

Mother nature stepped into play for moto 2.
After a downpour after moto 1, the track conditions
made it cruicial to have a good mud set up.
Wienen was able to get out of the first turn
in the top five and was able to climb into second
before the end of the first lap. Wienen was
unable to make any advance on the field but
went on to take second in moto 2 to secure the
overall win for the day. Musick got off to a
mid pack start in moto 2 and positioned himself
in seventh place at the end of the first lap.
Musick moved into sixth on lap two where he
finished when the checkers flew.
Due to severe weather and rain, Pro-Am and Sunday's
entire racing events were cancelled.
The series will head to Spring Creek MX in Millville,
Minn. on June 27 and 28 for the next round of
racing!
